Having been brought up in a family that was in fashion, Mitchell Ross was surrounded by color and texture. This left an indelible mark on his design aesthetic.

After graduating from Clark University with a degree in psychology, and working in the family business (learning everything from design and production to sales and marketing), Mitchell chose to pursue his long time interest in interior design and architecture.

Mitchell began his career designing custom rugs and furniture that integrated these elements within each individual project and explored handcrafting metal furniture to bring this understanding into harmonious relation with his aesthetic process. Mitchell’s experiences in the U.S., Canada and Europe, spanning over 25 years, have led to the creation of environments that are distinctly unique.

The idea of designing his own line of carpets comes from a desire to re-interpret the meaning of “area rugs” and to transform that application into a refined concept that expands everyday function into art. Carpets and rugs move from the floor to dress the wall, as focal points for contemplation and pleasure.
